What does it take to be a host club or host division?
If your community has a facility that can host between 100 & 500 people for an event. Your city is a candidate.
The host club assists the conventions committee with selecting a site, assiting with attendee registration, assisting with the basic operations of the convention /conference, and assiting in selecting and planning a fundraising event for the Friday night of the convention / conference. A majority of the planning is done by the Convention committee.
There is no financial obligation on the part of your club. But your club does get to choose a LOCAL charity to be the benifactor of donations by members of the Kansas Kiwanis District.
The District would also love to perform a service project in your community while all of the Kiwanians are there.
Volunteer to be a host club today! Contact the District Convention Chair to find out more.
